Shannon Elswick is currently Senior Vice President of Acute Care for Leading Edge Healthcare, LLC. He is also a Graduate Faculty Scholar in the College of Health and Public Affairs at the University of Central Florida. His career in healthcare has spanned 4 decades, over half of which at the senior executive level. Before moving into consulting and academics, Shannon was the President of the Adult Hospital Group and President of ORMC for Orlando Health.
He received a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration degree from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Services degree from Southern Illinois University. He has served on the credentials committee and as a member of the faculty for the American College of Healthcare Executives and is published in Hospitality, Lean/Six Sigma, and Lifestyle Medicine healthcare applications.
Mr. Elswick is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on boards of multiple healthcare and community organizations such as American Heart Association, Cornerstone Hospice, United Way of Lake and Sumter, Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Health and Public Affairs at UCF, Orange Indemnity LTD and Community Foundation of South Lake County. He is a former member of the editorial board of the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine and currently serves as immediate past president of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Shannon sings in multiple a cappella groups in central and south Florida and is the musical director of Sisters of Sound, a chapter of Harmony Inc. He and his wife, Becky, who is the Fifth Circuit Guardian ad Litem Trainer and a former member of the Lake County School Board, live in Clermont. They have three sons and two grandsons.
