Dr. Deborah A. Jeffries is Director of US Healthcare for Polycom
a 1.5 billion dollar industry leader in collaborative solutions. Dr. Jeffries utilizes her 25 years in telemedicine, information systems, medicine, patient care, education and physics to understand the needs of Polycom’ s customers, and assist the Polycom team in their efforts to deliver the best total solutions. Dr. Jeffries participates in radio and press interviews providing thought leadership in the field of Healthcare.
Dr Jeffries is based in the Boston area, and available over video to meet with hospitals, clinics, payers and healthcare delivery systems to discuss ways that collaborative video and voice solutions can assist in their efforts to deliver more effective healthcare while reducing the cost of care. She has been with Polycom for 5+ years, and has dedicated her time to supporting the healthcare industry, and Polycom healthcare partners.
Prior to joining Polycom, Dr. Jeffries was with a company that provided telemedicine medical peripherals for 6 years. During this time she worked directly with customers across the United States and Canada and assisted in configuring diagnostic equipment for telemedicine programs. For 10 years Dr. Jeffries has attended major telemedicine events, such as the ATA, and CST.
Dr. Jeffries has taught Pathophysiology and Hematology at Merrimack College. She enjoyed her time as teaching assistant at U.C.L.A. and the National College of Naturopathic Medicine where she was a teaching assistant for X-ray, physiology, and pathology. She has also worked as an IT consultant for a multibillion dollar company, and began her career as an aerospace engineer.
Deborah holds a degree in naturopathic medicine from National College of Naturopathic Medicine, a Bachelor’s Degree in physics from U.C.L.A. and completed the course work for a Master’s Degree in Physics from U.C.L.A. While at U.C.L.A. she also received her teaching credential for K-12. She currently is licensed as a Naturopathic physician.
